PPC Campaigns are fast and flexible offering quick and measurable response from search engines but in the longer term are much more costly than the ‘free’ inclusion generated by a Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) campaigns.
Research has also shown that a strong position within natural results inspires trust and is more likely to generate a click through than paid for listings.
Many people use these techniques in isolation; however when used in combination they can become mutually supportive. With PPC as an excellent way of quickly testing new keywords and approaches, the successful ones of which can be shifted into SEO to reduce the cost per acquisition of new visitors for the longer term.
